Peace, Love and … Fitness.

We’re a few weeks into the New Year and hopefully some of your resolutions are still successfully going strong. And if they aren’t, don’t beat yourself up! It happens and every day is another chance to get it right.

So instead of focusing on 300 things you can try and do differently over the next 30 and something days, I thought it might be best to share my suggestions on the ONE thing you can do to be a healthier and happier mama when it comes to improving your inner peace, self-love and overall health and fitness!

PEACE

If there is one thing you should do to improve your mental headspace and enhance inner peace, it’s to dedicate time to meditate. It’s incredible how setting a few moments to this practice of mindfulness can change your life.

Start with even 1 minute a day and you will feel calmer, more focused and ready to take on whatever comes your way. Consider downloading an app such as headspace to assist you in this practice.

LOVE

Self-love has become a trendy saying, but rightfully so. It’s time you put YOU first –this could be anything from scheduling mommy time at the spa or feeling empowered to say no. We often stretch ourselves too thin and if I learned something from last year, I have no one to blame but myself for overcommitting my time and saying yes when I really should’ve said no.

As the saying goes, “If you want to invest in something with minimum risk and guaranteed big return, invest in yourself!”

FITNESS

Sweating and movement are proven to boost happy hormones! These are the kind of hormones us mamas want, so commit to be fit! Whether it’s a walk with the kids, a yoga class or boot camp, get moving! And if you just want to get the best bang for your buck at home, what’s the ultimate move you can do? The dreaded burpee! They aren’t fun, but they work. Hit all your body parts and get a cardiovascular workout at the same time!

Wishing you all an incredible 2017! Please feel free to check out the latest No Tummy Mommy 4-Week Kick Start Challenge if you’re looking for help in reigniting your fitness goals!
