Dressing The Punks - Belin
Hello, October. I’m sipping a warm cup of homemade apple cider at this very moment. This has always been one of my favorite times of the year but even more so now that the twins are two. We’ve eaten pumpkin everything and bat shaped sandwiches. Turned snickerdoodle cookies into owls, and got our craft on by painting paper plates into monsters. It’s been fun having two little helpers decorate our home with “pumpkin-heads” and “spooky-spookies”, as they like to call them.
It’s tradition for us to pick out our pumpkins at Black Island Farms in Syracuse, Utah. They’re known for having the largest corn maze in the state. The first time we took Kingston and Kai, they were barely two months old. Saturday morning was a gorgeous sunny day. After a breakfast of pumpkin pancakes, we headed out the door. The boys hit the corn maze, tire swings, and straw slides, first. After letting them run off some steam, we took a ride on the cow train then tried to burry ourselves in the corn box (a sandbox filled with corn). Both boys fell asleep on the drive home. Which all you mamas know, means it was a day well spent.
