Ready for Fall

I can’t believe it’s almost September. In some ways I’m so not ready. September means my first baby turns three and my second baby turns one.

No parent is ever ready for birthdays, yet alone when your baby becomes a toddler and your toddler becomes a preschooler all in the span of three weeks. To say it’s going to be an emotional month is a bit of an understatement.

On the other hand, we are so ready for fall over here. Summertime is great - splash pads, kiddy pools, beach days - but there’s something so magical about the air getting crisper, the leaves turning red, and wrapping yourself up in a cozy sweater.

And of course so many fun things to do with kids: apple picking, playing on hay bails, roasting marshmallows, jumping into big piles of leaves. And of course the holiday of all holidays when you’ve got tiny little humans: Halloween.

Christmas might be my favourite holiday overall, but Halloween takes the cake for all the cuteness that is getting your kiddos dressed up in adorable costumes.
